Where my journey began
Teaching at Oneness-Family School helped me discover the joy of helping others learn and grow.

Making technology feel human
I love helping people feel confident and comfortable using today’s digital tools.

Patience and heart in every lesson
The same care I brought to teaching children now guides how I help adults learn technology.
About Me
My name is Debra Kahn, but most people call me Debbie. My background is in teaching, technology, and transformation. I created Tech Made Simple to help people who feel left behind by today’s digital world gain comfort and confidence using their phones, tablets, and computers. I bring patience, humor, and years of experience helping others learn at their own pace—without jargon or judgment. My goal is simple: to make technology feel friendly, useful, and a natural part of everyday life.
I’ve always loved helping people learn. For many years, I taught at the Oneness-Family School, where I helped students discover their confidence and curiosity. Later, I became the Associate Director of Amman Imman: Water is Life, a nonprofit working to empower communities in West Africa through education, women’s leadership, and sustainable development. Whether in classrooms or making presentations about water in Niger, my work has always centered on helping people grow, learn, and connect.
Over time, I became the go-to person for friends and coworkers who needed help with their phones, computers, or online tools. Soon, that grew into helping clients—people and small organizations who needed support with their brand, website, or social media. I’ve guided them through the same process I use with individuals: making technology feel clear, manageable, and human.
That’s why I started Tech Made Simple—to make technology approachable, to slow things down, and to help people feel capable in a world that’s moving fast.
When I’m not helping someone untangle a tech problem, you’ll probably find me hiking through the woods, spending time with dogs, or laughing with kids—the best teachers of curiosity and joy. I believe learning should always feel like that: natural, human, and alive.

With my friend Ernie — because learning happens best with patience and heart.
