Patience and Heart in Every Lesson
The same care I brought to teaching children now guides how I help adults learn technology.

🌿About Me

Making Technology Feel Human

I’m Debra Kahn, but most people call me Debbie. I started Tech Made Simple to help people who feel left behind by today’s digital world gain comfort and confidence using their phones, tablets, and computers.

My approach is simple: patience, humor, and clarity — no jargon, no judgment, and always at your pace. Technology isn’t just about devices; it’s about connection — to family, friends, and the world around us.

Where My Journey Began

I spent many years teaching at Oneness-Family School, helping students discover their curiosity and confidence. Later, I became Associate Director of Amman Imman: Water is Life, a nonprofit supporting sustainable development, women’s leadership and education in West Africa.

Whether in classrooms or communities, at home or abroad, my work has always centered on helping people grow, connect, and thrive.

Why I Created Tech Made Simple

Friends and colleagues often turned to me for help untangling their tech — phones, computers, and online tools. I realized that with the right support, technology doesn’t have to be frustrating — it can be friendly, empowering, and even fun.

That’s why I started Tech Made Simple: to slow things down, make learning comfortable, and help people feel capable in a fast-moving world.

The Devices I Work With

I’m most experienced with Apple products — iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers — and I can guide you through them quickly and confidently.

I also support people using Windows computers and Android phones or tablets. These systems can vary more between brands and setups, so they sometimes take an extra moment to navigate — but I always take the time to figure out what you need and explain it clearly.

Whether you use one device or juggle several, I’m here to help you make sense of it all, at your pace, without pressure or jargon.

Beyond the Screen

When I’m not helping someone with technology, I’m walking in the woods, spending time with dogs, or laughing with kids — the best teachers of curiosity and joy.

Learning, to me, should always feel like that: natural, human, and alive.

Let’s make technology simple — and help you feel confident every day.

Time with kids and nature reminds me what learning is all about — curiosity, joy, and presence.
